Member for Eastern Victoria Tom McIntosh MP was in Lakes Entrance on Wednesday sharing good news for the local community from this year’s Victorian State Budget.
There are four projects around Bairnsdale including an upgrade to Paynesville Primary School, up to $400,000.00 to upgrade the netball courts at the Buchan Football Netball Club, up to $150,000 for the Bairnsdale Clay Target Club, and $100,000.00 for Radio East Gippsland.
All of these projects were commitments that Labor took to the election in November last year and all of these have received funding in the recent State budget.
Every family should have a great local school and Tom enjoyed touring Paynesville Primary School with Acting Principal Deborah Mathers and hearing about the difference this investment will make to the school.
Tom also joined Studio Coordinator Deniese Morrison, President Peter, and the volunteer committee at Radio East Gippsland to celebrate the $100,000.00 to support the community radio station’s programming.
Buchan Football Netball Club will benefit from up to $400,000.00 towards the delivery of netball court upgrades.

“Grassroots sport and community groups like Radio East Gippsland are the heart of local communities and with this Budget, we’re investing in the upgrades and equipment local clubs need to keep our community moving – and talking.”
