Bruthen arts and culture fans will have the chance to catch top quality creativity close to home in 2026, thanks to the latest round of grants to help regional communities stage more live shows in local venues.
Tom McIntosh today announced a $6950 grant to Bruthen Arts and Events Council through the latest round of the Allan Labor Government’s Small Regional Presenters program, which provides grants to community groups and not-for-profit organisations to help them present shows in their area.
Bruthen Arts and Events Council is one of 13 Victorian community groups and not-for-profit organisations to receive support in this round. The grant will enable them to for a season of events including a community Girls’ Night Out featuring a locally prepared meal, a dance performance and a comedy/cabaret show, and a partnership with Bruthen and Tambo Upper Primary Schools to host a family-friendly show featuring BMX tricks, music and more.
The Small Regional Presenters program is a Victorian Government initiative delivered by Regional Arts Victoria.
Along with attracting top quality artists to regional venues, the program helps to build local skills and grow talent in regional locations.
