Students in Bairnsdale are better placed to achieve their best, with the Victorian Government rolling out more infrastructure works to renovate Bairnsdale West Primary School.
Member for Eastern Victoria Tom McIntosh MP announced that Bairnsdale West Primary School has been successful through the Minor Capital Works Fund for an almost $500,000 upgrade to the main school toilet block. The project will include a full renovation of the ventilation and asbestos removal - giving local students modern and quality facilities.
In the Victorian Budget 2023/24, the Labor Government invested $10 million into the Fund, with all projects from this round to be completed by December 2025 – ensuring every Victorian student receives the safe and inviting school environment they deserve.
First introduced in 2020 as part of the Labor Government’s Building Works Package, the Fund has already supported more than 500 projects across metropolitan and regional areas.
In the past nine years, the Government has invested $14.9 billion to build new schools, delivering more than 1,940 school upgrades across the state – giving all Victorian students access to quality learning facilities no matter where they live.
