Rosebud Secondary College has picked up two of 13 statewide titles in the Victorian Education Excellence Awards, on Friday night.
Principal Lisa Holt won the Colin Simpson Outstanding Secondary Principal Title, and Wendy Coustley won the award for Outstanding Secondary Teacher.
Member for Eastern Victoria Tom McIntosh today congratulated the two local winners and the finalists at the annual awards which celebrate the commitment of teachers, leaders, and school staff across Victoria.
The 2024 awards coincided with Australia’s celebration of World Teachers’ Day, which recognises teachers for the work they do to educate, inspire and empower students.
The awards support the continued professional development of staff, with professional learning grants of up to $25,000 for the winner in each category plus a further $20,000 for the Lindsay Thompson Award for Excellence in Education 2024 winner.
